“Mud Flower” is a story about two young women searching for meaning among the material, finding absurdity in customer service, and learning to see beyond one’s self. The short film centers around themes of culture, identity, consumerism, and simply growing up.

“Mud Flower” is to be directed by Erica Huang, and will star Ayse Babahan and Emmeline Chuy. The cast and crew are composed of a diverse group of artists, headed by a young women and gender non-binary persons.

The short film is currently in pre-production. Originally scheduled to shoot this winter, filming has been pushed back until October due to Covid-19 limitations. The Mud Flower team is prioritizing safety, and we are taking this opportunity to continue to raise money for the production of our film!
